Ovacık and Hisarönü are the twin resort villages on the plateau above Ölüdeniz, a five-to-ten-minute dolmuş ride from the beach. This is where most of the affordable hotels, bars, English-style pubs and nightlife are concentrated — livelier and cheaper than the beachfront, but only a short ride from the sand. The dolmuş between the hills and the beach runs frequently and late into the night through summer, which is why many visitors stay up here and commute down to swim.
