Belcekız Beach

Belcekız is the long pebble-and-coarse-sand beach fronting the village — free to walk onto, unlike the ticketed lagoon next door, and lined with beach clubs, sunbeds and cafés. It doubles as the paragliding landing zone: through the afternoon a steady stream of tandems spirals down off Babadağ and touches down on the sand right in front of you. The water shelves gently and is a vivid blue; the quieter stretch is the far end toward the lagoon. Sunset here, drink in hand, watching the last flights come in, is the classic Ölüdeniz evening.

Tip: Best spot to sit with a cold drink around sunset and watch the tandems land on the sand.
