Fethiye
Practical · Ölüdeniz, Fethiye, Türkiye
Fethiye is the region's main town, about 15 km north of Ölüdeniz around the bay — a working harbour and marina with a large covered bazaar, a famous Tuesday market, Lycian rock tombs cut into the cliff above town, and ferries and boat trips of its own. It's the transport hub, with frequent, cheap dolmuşes running down to Ölüdeniz all day. It's worth a half-day for the market, the waterfront fish restaurants and a wander up to the tombs.
Getting there: About 15 km north; frequent, cheap dolmuşes from Ölüdeniz all day.
Tip: Worth a half-day. Regular dolmuşes from Ölüdeniz; the market is the one to time your trip around.
