Day boats leave the Ölüdeniz seafront on the classic loop — usually Butterfly Valley, the Blue Cave (a swim-through grotto), St Nicholas (Gemiler) Island and a couple of open-water swim stops, with lunch included. Smaller wooden gulets are calmer and more personal than the big music-and-foam party barges, so look at the boat before you book, and check what's covered. Trips generally run about 10am–5pm in season; bring reef shoes, sun cover and cash for drinks and any island entrance fees.

Getting there: Ölüdeniz seafront; boats leave around 10am — book at the kiosks on the front.

Tip: The smaller boats are friendlier than the big party barges. Haggle a little, and check what's included.
